LA JOLLA, Calif., July 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Auspex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASPX), a late clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel medicines for the treatment of orphan diseases, announced today the pricing of its underwritten public offering of 3,150,000 shares of common stock at a price to the public of $19.25 per share. The gross proceeds to Auspex from this offering are expected to be approximately $60.6 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by Auspex. In addition, the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 472,500 shares of common stock.

The joint book-running managers for the offering are Stifel and BMO Capital Markets. In addition, Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated, William Blair and Company, L.L.C. and Ladenburg Thalmann are acting as co-managers.
