AusBiotech Ltd. Release: Victorian Premier Opens Largest-Ever Gathering In Australian Life Sciences

The Premier of Victoria, the Hon. Daniel Andrews, will open the International BioFest 2016 today at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the largest-ever gathering in Australian life sciences.

The International BioFest brings together three major life science conferences in one week in one place as one integrated network, which is supported by major and host state partner the Victorian Government.

The event is attracting international researchers, experts, industry members, senior executives and investors to Melbourne, providing a platform to showcase Australia’s strength life sciences on an international stage.

The Hon. Daniel Andrews said: “Victoria is leading the country as the centre of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical technologies. These industries are vital for our state’s future, that’s why we’re actively driving them to grow the economy and create Victorian jobs.”

Following the Hon. Daniel Andrews opening speech, CSL’s CEO and Managing Director Paul Perreault will deliver the opening plenary presentation, 100 years … and just getting started.
