Atrium Medical Corporation to Move HQs, Will Hire 250 Down the Road

HUDSON, N.H., April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Atrium Medical Corporation, a business unit of MAQUET Cardiovascular, announced today that it plans to relocate its company headquarters to a newly purchased site in Merrimack, NH to accommodate the company's exponential growth over the last few years. The current facility located in Hudson, NH has been the corporate headquarters for the last 17 years, but has reached its expansion limits and can no longer support the company's growth demands.

The property at 40 Continental Boulevard in Merrimack, NH offers a newly renovated 115,000 square foot two-story structure and will be expanded to include an additional 90,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical manufacturing and R&D facility. The new campus will provide the resources and space necessary for Atrium's growing family of talented and dedicated employees as they continue their mission of excellence.

"Our company has grown tremendously over the last few years and is projected to continue expanding in the years to come. Therefore, it is necessary for us to relocate our headquarters to a facility that will meet the needs of our employees and customers in the future," said Trevor Carlton, President, Atrium Medical Corporation. "Moving our headquarters also allows us the opportunity to continue collaborating with leading clinicians and researchers from around the world to meet the demands for expansive evidence-based clinical trials that can lead to important med-tech discoveries with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes."

"This investment is affirmation of MAQUET's commitment to developing world class, minimally invasive medical products that have a positive impact on both patient care and health economics and is an acknowledgement of the expertise, innovativeness and dedication of the Atrium organization", stated Christian Keller, President and CEO of MAQUET Cardiovascular.

Atrium currently employs approximately 450 people in its existing facility in Hudson, with plans to expand to 700 over the next several years. The company has been based in Southern New Hampshire since its inception more than 31 years ago.
