CLEVELAND, June 21, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Athersys, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATHX) today announced that Jack L. Wyszomierski has been elected to the Board of Directors at its annual meeting of shareholders held on June 17, 2010. Jordan S. Davis and William C. Mulligan did not stand for re-election.
