Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation Announces Preliminary Revenues For First Quarter 2006 And Revises Guidance

VICTORIA, BC, April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation , an emerging pharmaceutical company focused on increasing the pool of evidence-based medicines for patients with less common diseases, today announced preliminary revenues of approximately US$62 million for the first quarter of 2006.

First quarter 2006 revenues include a higher than expected quarterly reconciliation payment of US$16 million related to the third quarter of 2005. The receipt of this reconciliation payment is in compliance with the terms of Aspreva's collaboration agreement with Roche. Aspreva anticipates royalty revenues for the full year 2006 to be in excess of US$200 million, including the higher reconciliation payment in the first quarter.

As earlier announced, Aspreva will release its full financial and business results on Wednesday, April 26th. The Company will hold a conference call and webcast beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (2:00 p.m. Pacific Time) to discuss these results.
