(NASDAQ: PETX), a development-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the licensing, development and commercialization of innovative prescription medications for pets, today announced the full exercise of the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters to purchase 862,500 additional shares of common stock, at a public offering price of $6.00 per share, in connection with its previously announced initial public offering of 5,750,000 shares of common stock that closed on July 2, 2013, bringing the total gross proceeds from the offering to $39,675,000, before deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses payable by Aratana Therapeutics. The company's common stock is listed on The NASDAQ Global Market under the trading symbol "PETX."
