Animal Health Company Zoetis To Spend $64.5 Million To Expand Manufacturing

Animal health company Zoetis Inc. will spend about $64.5 million over the next three years to expand its manufacturing capabilities in Kalamazoo and increase production of chewable tablet medicines for pets.

When completed in three years, the upgrades will mean 45 new jobs, according to the company, which is based in Parsippany, N.J., but has the headquarters for its research and development in Kalamazoo.

Zoetis says it will install two new production lines and related operations at its 524,000-square-foot Global Manufacturing and Supply facility at 2605 E. Kilgore Road in order to manufacture oral tablets and chewable medicines for companion animals.
