Amgen Will Cut 2,200 to 2,600 Jobs, Saving $1 Billion

Aug. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Amgen Inc., the world's largest biotechnology company, will slash jobs for the first time in its 27-year history, close plants and cut capital spending in response to declining sales of its top-selling drug.
