Allocade, Inc. Announces New Capabilities at Allocade, Inc. 2011 for the Healthcare Industry's Only Expert Software System That Manages Patient Itineraries

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - February 21, 2011) - Allocade, Inc., the developer of the healthcare industry's only expert software system that manages patient itineraries, announced the expansion of its innovative On-Cue® Expert Software System into the Cardiology and Transport Departments. The company also previewed enhancements for viewing and interacting with On-Cue's Dynamic Patient Itinerary™ information at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2011 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Fla., February 20-24, 2011.

"With On-Cue's new features, caregivers throughout the hospital enterprise have an expanded platform that can help them dramatically improve the timeliness of high-quality patient care," said Gary Wright, president and chief executive officer. "Current On-Cue customers are realizing significant improvements in the timeliness of care, with metrics that not only confirm increased patient flow through departments managed with On-Cue, but significant improvements of up to 50 percent for keeping patients on time for procedures they are scheduled for. These are very important results, as our customers work to meet their meaningful-use objectives, improve their Press Ganey scores and drive down operating costs."

The new capabilities from Allocade add further options for caregivers to offload a majority of the time-consuming work required to coordinate and manage complex patient logistics throughout the hospital. The company has adapted On-Cue for implementation into the Cardiology Department in three areas including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, EKG and Echocardiography. As a result, improvements and benefits experienced by caregivers within the Radiology Department including, IR, CT, MRI and Ultrasound, as well as the Emergency Department, will now extend to the Cardiology Department, increasing the potential for On-Cue to improve patient flow hospital-wide.

The expansion of On-Cue to the Transport Department offers a new On-Cue client for transport control, providing a real-time view of patient status within any procedural area managed by the On-Cue system. Transport personnel can customize the interface by the type of patient or by the procedural area as they work to improve coordination of patient transports.

In addition to the new features for Cardiology and Transport, the company previewed enhancements for viewing and interacting with Dynamic Patient Itineraries using On-Cue's web-based Enterprise Viewer for caregivers. These new enhancements will include extensive incorporation of patient schedule information from other hospital IT systems; the ability to view and interact with multiple Dynamic Patient Itineraries simultaneously, and new features for improved two-way communication between caregivers and the procedural areas managed by On-Cue. The new enhancements are scheduled for a two-part release in the second and fourth quarters this year.

"We are very pleased with the continued adoption of our On-Cue System by medical centers throughout the United States," said Todd McNitt, senior vice president of sales, Allocade, Inc. "Our customers are realizing immediate benefits after the implementation of On-Cue. These include a reduction in overall operating costs and improved resource utilization throughout the enterprise. On-Cue has also enabled caregivers to spend more time with their patients as well as treat patients more efficiently. We believe the benefits offered by our latest enhancements will further broaden the demand for On-Cue."

One hospital experiencing significant benefits from On-Cue is the University of Utah Health Care. In a newly published customer profile, the Interventional Radiology Department reported that the installation of On-Cue led to a 90 percent reduction in overtime costs, a 10-15 percent reduction in FTE expenses, an increase in patient volume, and improved Press Ganey scores.

About On-Cue: The Expert Software System that Manages Patient Itineraries

On-Cue enables caregivers to off-load much of the time-consuming work to optimize patient logistics by replicating the complex decision making capabilities of a hospital's best professionals. Powered by an artificial intelligence engine, On-Cue coordinates patient flow and automatically adapts to disruptions as they occur, enabling the industry's only Dynamic Patient Itinerary - a time-tagged list of each patient's preparation and procedure events that adapts in real-time as conditions change. On-Cue leverages information already available in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR). On-Cue delivers real-time visualization of Dynamic Patient Itineraries to all interested personnel, facilitating communication between individuals and departments.
