Akzo Nobel N.V. To Close Surfactants Site In U.S.
Dutch chemical group Akzo Nobel NV said on Wednesday it will close a plant operated by its Surfactants business in the United States. Akzo said a project had started to transfer production to some of the company's other U.S. chemicals facilities, with completion of the transition and closure of the site near Chicago expected by the end of 2007.
