THOROFARE, N.J., June 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Akers Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:AKER) (LSE:AKR), a leading designer and manufacturer of rapid diagnostic screening and testing products, announces that the Company has entered into a sales and distribution agreement for the US, that can be renewed after one year by mutual consent (the "Agreement"), with Typenex Medical, LLC ("Typenex") of Chicago, Illinois for the Company's PIFA Heparin/PF4 and PIFA PLUSS PF4 rapid tests ("PIFA Heparin Tests").
