Richmond, VA – AIBioTech is proud to announce the promotion Greg Meyers to Vice President of DNA Services.

Mr. Meyers has been with AIBioTech (formerly Commonwealth Biotechnologies, Inc) almost since its inception. He has worked his way up through the corporate ladder from scientist to director to now Vice President. Mr. Meyers will oversee the lab operations for all DNA chemistries at AIB, including the contract service offerings, government testing offerings, and clinical genetic testing.

Most recently, he has been leading the development of AIBioTech’s next generation sequencing efforts, including leading the design, development, and validation of the pharmacogenomics platform offered by AIB. This platform has surpassed 30,000 patient samples in approximately one year.

“I am honored to be recognized by the management of AIBioTech and promoted to VP. It is in no small part due to the dedicated team of people working with me at AIB.”

Thomas Reynolds, Executive Vice President of Science and Technology, adds, “Greg has been instrumental in the development of the company from the very beginning. We are excited to have him in this new role. Through a small reorganization of our clinical operations which allowed a merging of several labs, we were able to create an opportunity for this new position.”

Mr. Meyers received his BS degree from Virginia Tech in Biology, with an emphasis on microbiology, and his MS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Microbiology and Immunology. He is the author of numerous peer reviewed publications and is a co-inventor on several United States patents
