ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 2006--Advanced Photonix, Inc.® (AMEX: API - News) announced today that it has entered into a $1.2 million contract with a leading medical manufacturer located in Europe for its patented Large Area Avalanche Photo Diode (LAAPD) cooled detectors. It is expected that shipments will commence and be completed within the next 12 months.
