AccuDial Pharmaceutical, Inc. Release: Children's AccuDial Solves OTC Dosing Problems

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL--(Marketwire - April 19, 2011) -

Children's AccuDial, a family of eight over-the-counter, pediatric medications, has been named Product of the Year as designated by Product of the Year Canada.

Voted as the "consumer's choice" for new product innovation, Children's AccuDial features a revolutionary, two-part, patented label system. As the consumer rotates the top label to display the child's weight, dosing information is revealed from the inner label. A caregiver then pours the liquid into the calibrated dosing device to the exact measurement, and the child receives the correct dose of medication. No second guessing; it's all medical science, fully approved by Health Canada!

"Parents want to dose their child correctly and get them well and back on their feet," states CEO and chairman, Robert Terwilliger. "Clearly, from the consumer responses and the winning results, AccuDial Pharmaceutical's weight-based dosing system resonates favorably with parents and consumers. Canadians are seeking new products that leverage technology and provide an emotional and functional solution."

For the past two decades, the Product of the Year has been the gold standard for consumer-voted product innovation for hundreds of brands worldwide. Companies that have launched innovative products designed to meet consumer needs are selected to participate.

The selection process began with a panel of leading industry executives that reviewed and inspected each entry to ensure they met the program's rigorous criteria. It is essential that new products are relevant and add value to the market. A short list of finalists was selected based on the results.

To determine the final winners, Rogers Market Research Group conducted a Product of the Year - Consumer Survey of Product Innovation across Canada, from December through mid-February. About 5,900 consumers voted on products in 17 categories, based on innovative design, function, and packaging.

Christopher Vounasis, Director of Sales and Marketing for Children's AccuDial in Canada, accepted the 2011 Product of the Year Award in Toronto with jury panelists and special guests at Rogers Publishing Campus in attendance. "Having a panel of industry experts in innovation comment on AccuDial and how we are meeting a previously unmet need for parents with such simplicity, is indeed impressive," said Vounasis. "A sincere thank you to all our Canadian partners for supporting this innovation and helping us bring weight-based dosing to Canadian parents and children."

The family of eight pediatric medications of Children's AccuDial is available in more than 4,300 pharmacies and stores throughout Canada, and is recommended by 97% of Canadian pediatricians surveyed.

"After years of research and trials, we developed a solid product with a revolutionary, weight-based dosing system that deals head-on with the problem of accurately dosing medication," said Terwilliger. "It's rewarding to know that Children's AccuDial is recognized as an industry leader and innovator in the field of over-the-counter, liquid medications."
