Acacia Research Corp. Subsidiary Enters into License Agreement with buySAFE

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTG) announced today that its TransAuction LLC subsidiary has entered into a license agreement with buySAFE, Inc. covering a patent portfolio relating to methods for conducting guaranteed online auctions. TransAuction LLC recently acquired U.S. Patent No 7,343,339 and initiated an action alleging infringement of the ‘339 against several internet auction providers.
