NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTG - News) announced today that its Cardio Access LLC subsidiary has entered into a license agreement with Edwards Lifesciences covering a patent relating to certain medical devices. The technology generally relates to devices known as cannulae having multiple access port legs and at least one hemostatic valve which are adapted for insertion of various catheters into the body. The agreement resolves litigation pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas with respect to certain Edwards products.
