Abbott Laboratories Sued Over Beetles In Baby Formula

An Oldham County couple has filed a lawsuit against Kroger and a pharmaceutical company, alleging their two infants were sickened after eating infant powder formula contaminated with beetles or their larvae. The lawsuit, filed in Jefferson Circuit Court this week on behalf of Rodney and Amber Jones and the two children, claims tainted baby formula produced by Abbott Laboratories was left on the shelves at the Kroger in the 12000 block of La Grange Road in Louisville after the Similac Brand Powder instant formula had been recalled on Sept. 22, 2010.
