This new product marks the first introduction in a new line that will be marketed under the SudaCare brand name and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare's first entry into the growing complimentary care category.
This new line of products will complement more traditional methods of caring for a cold or allergies. Pfizer research shows that consumers seek a variety of solutions to address symptoms from upper respiratory conditions, but they also want care beyond symptom relief that will help them feel soothed and comforted. Pfizer expects the complementary care category to have an annual growth rate of 25 percent within the next five years.

SudaCare Nighttime Vapor-Plug continuously releases up to eight hours of soothing aromatic vapors, including menthol and eucalyptus, to provide comfort care when you are congested. The specially formulated fragrance for children also includes camphor, mint and rosemary. The Vapor-Plug is safe, convenient and easy to use, either alone or with traditional medicines.
With the warm wish of, "Have a good night," as a tagline, the SudaCare Nighttime Vapor-Plug is being launched with a robust marketing campaign. The Company will build upon the strong brand heritage of Sudafed. Support includes print and television advertising beginning in October 2004, an FSI, in-store displays and a public relations campaign featuring Laurie Smith, a "grande dame of interior design," from TLC television's wildly successful series, "Trading Spaces."
SudaCare Nighttime Vapor-Plug will be available in both Children's and Adult versions in food, drug and mass market retail stores nationwide in October 2004. The suggested retail price is $7.99, including the plug and five refill pads and $4.99 for the refill packs with five pads.
