Burns has joined the company as Executive Director, Business Development. Burns will play a key role in accelerating growth at MedManage, which is establishing strong momentum in the pharmaceutical marketplace.

An integral part of the MedManage Business Development team, Burns will work closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers to design and deploy sampling solutions that leverage the company's OmniSample Solution and to develop long- term customer relationships. In July, MedManage was awarded Frost & Sullivan's 2004 Customer Value Enhancement Award for the company's achievements in the area of physician promotion and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining MedManage, Burns was Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sales for ICT Group, Newtown, PA. There, he was responsible for pharmaceutical and CRM services that included patient support, product information, program enrollment, and disease management. Burns led the creation and implementation of ICT's Direct response Medical Detailing (DrMD(SM)) program, a direct marketing service that combined database modeling, program branding, telemarketing, fulfillment, sampling and program analytics. This service enabled pharmaceutical companies to cost-effectively create continuous relationships with the most valuable physicians not serviced by their sales representatives, influence their prescribing behavior and measure the change in prescribing to calculate the ROI.
Overall, Burns has 25 years of senior sales and marketing experience, having worked in sales management, product management, marketing management and new business development. Before joining the ICT Group, he held several senior sales and marketing management positions for such companies as Owens- Illinois, Biomedical Polymers and SciQuest.com and is a member of the Medical Marketing Association.
