HARTLAND, Wis., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Camtronics Medical Systems, Ltd., a subsidiary of Analogic Corporation today expanded on the strategic alliance the company has formed with Quinton Cardiology Systems, Inc. . As a result of the agreement Camtronics and Quinton offer cardiac patient management solutions that integrate all patient data, from inpatient and outpatient environments, including screening, diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation/disease management.
"Camtronics and Quinton together span all stages of cardiovascular care," notes Gene Bergholz, president of Camtronics Medical Systems, "and this agreement allows each company to focus on its respective strengths."
"The key to this undertaking is that both companies rely on open architecture systems and share a common vision ... that of providing non- proprietary, multi-vendor solutions," points out John Hinson, Quinton Cardiology Systems CEO. "Due to our shared expertise in multi-vendor environments, our combined, full-spectrum solutions are uniquely capable of offering the flexibility required to meet our customers' needs."
Bergholz emphasized that Camtronics' industry-leading VERICIS(C) Cardiovascular Information System provides single point access to the complete cardiovascular patient record, including both inpatient and outpatient data. "Our ability to interface with systems from multiple vendors, including equipment ranging from ECG monitoring to imaging systems, enables healthcare facilities to quickly create the most comprehensive cardiology record possible," he said.
In the past year, both companies have received industry recognition as market leaders from Frost and Sullivan, an international strategic market consulting and training firm. In fall 2002, Quinton was named Patient Monitoring Company of the Year in recognition of the company's management, high quality products, and focus on solving patient and clinician problems. The company also received the 2002 Market Engineering Award for implementing superior market engineering strategies and establishing Quinton as the market share leader in the cardiac stress market.
This past September Frost and Sullivan awarded Camtronics with the 2003 Market Penetration Award in the cardiovascular image and information management market, based on market share gain in the past three years in the cardiac cath end-user market. In addition, Camtronics also received the 2003 Product Quality Leadership Award in the PACS Cardiology Workstation segment.
