Chase Medical Files Patent Infringement Suit Against CHF Technologies And Endoscopic Technologies

Chase Medical, Inc., a Dallas company specializing in products for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, today announced that it had filed a patent infringement lawsuit against CHF Technologies, Inc. and Endoscopic Technologies, Inc. (also known as Estech). The lawsuit alleges that products/methods related to the "Blue Egg" left ventricular restoration products (catalog numbers CHF-90k, CHF-100k, CHF-110k, CHF-120k, CHF-130k, and CHF-140k) infringe, induce others to infringe, and/or contributorily infringe one or more claims of U.S. Patent No. 6,681,773 (the "'773 Patent"). The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Dallas. The '773 patent relates to products and methods for treating congestive heart failure.
