GeneOhm Sciences, Inc. Closes Follow-on Series C Funding From Partners Healthcare

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2005--GeneOhm Sciences, an emerging leader in molecular diagnostics, announced that the company closed follow-on Series C funding with Partners HealthCare System, Inc. Partners HealthCare is an integrated healthcare system of advanced tertiary and community-based medical centers. It joins a syndicate of investors providing funding to accelerate the commercialization of GeneOhm's portfolio of molecular diagnostic products for applications in a number of areas, including rapid detection of bacterial infection and antimicrobial resistance. Partners' founding members, Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), have consistently been named to the U.S. News and World Report annual national hospital "Honor Roll". The system includes leaders in biomedical research and major teaching affiliates of the Harvard Medical School.
