10/19/2005 5:08:47 PM

FAIRFAX, Va., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Anteon International Corporation , a leading information technology and systems engineering and integration company, announced today that it has been awarded a 5-year contract by the U.S. Army Medical Command to support the National Vaccine Healthcare Center (NVHC) Network. The estimated value of the contract, if all options are exercised, is $15.5 million.

Under this contract, Anteon will provide support in the areas of Information Technology services, Program Development and Management, Health Education, and coordination of Administrative services to the NVHC Network. This network is comprised of regional vaccine healthcare centers (VHC), established throughout the DoD, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The role of the VHC is to educate healthcare providers throughout the DoD as well as service members, their families and other beneficiaries with special issues related to vaccines, vaccine safety and adverse events.

Joseph M. Kampf, Anteon President and CEO, said, "We are excited about this new award to support the NHVC Network. The NVHC plays a key role in the area of patient immunization safety. This is an area that has become even more critical due to the increased chemical-biological threat."
