Miravant (MRVT) Announces Third Quarter Results For 2004

Miravant Medical Technologies (OTCBB:MRVT), a pharmaceutical development company specializing in PhotoPoint(R) photodynamic therapy (PDT), announced consolidated financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2004. The net loss for the quarter was $3.4 million or ($0.10) per diluted share, compared to a net income of $1.2 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, for the same period in 2003. The net loss for the nine months ended September 30, 2004, was $12.6 million or ($0.40) per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $5.9 million or ($0.24) per diluted share for the same period in 2003. The results for the three and nine month periods ended September 30, 2003, included a gain of $9.1 million the Company recorded for the settlement of its debt to Pharmacia.
