Interpharm Holdings, Inc. (IPA) Announces Revenue And Earnings For The Three And Nine - Month Periods Ended March 31, 2005

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2005--Interpharm Holdings, Inc. (Amex: IPA), a manufacturer and distributor of generic pharmaceutical drugs, today announced its financial results for the three and nine month periods ended March 31, 2005. Net revenue for the three months was $10,670,000, which was $638,000 or 5.6% lower than the same period last year. The net decrease is primarily attributable to a decrease in net sales of Naproxen. Total revenue for the nine-month period ended March 31, 2005 was $28,561,000, a decrease of $1,329,000 or 4.4% from the same nine-month period a year ago.
During this three-month period the Company's gross profit percentage decreased 3.6 percentage points to 21.3% compared to 24.9% for the three-month period ended March 31, 2004. This decrease is primarily the result of higher labor and insurance costs.
