PHILADELPHIA and BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- In order to serve Clients globally, LatinTrials and RPS today announce the formation of an exclusive alliance, enabling them to conduct clinical development programs under joint operations throughout the Americas.
LatinTrials is the newest member of the Global Alliance, formed by RPS in 2003 in response to demand for global capabilities from their Client base.
The Global Alliance offers Clients a single point of contact, project teams operating under global SOPs, project-specific global operational plans, and project team leadership based in the United States, Europe, or Latin America, thus giving maximum flexibility to the Client.
The alliance with LatinTrials does not affect ownership of either company and will not limit the specific offerings to existing Clients of either company in any territory. It also excludes mark-ups on alliance partners' services, thus giving the true cost to Clients.
Following the model established by RPS, the cornerstones of this collaboration are the flexible and customized joint operation plans that provide detailed understanding to Clients on how projects will be performed around the world.
"LatinTrials' philosophy and proven track record of providing a complete range of highly flexible and cost-effective services of the highest quality to our clients are a perfect match with RPS," says Lic. Guillermo Moran Ayrolo, CEO of LatinTrials. "With its PRO model, RPS is ushering in a new era in Clinical Research in the United States. As the premier clinical services provider in Latin America, LatinTrials is positioned to lead the Latin American market in the same way."
"We are thoroughly impressed with all aspects of LatinTrials, from their extensive knowledge of the Latin American clinical research environment to their ability to conduct a full range of clinical services at a level of quality that would ensure acceptance by any regulatory authority in the world. LatinTrials is one of the largest CROs in the region employing full-time, fully bilingual personnel and is one of the earliest participants in clinical trials in Latin America. Over the years, it has recruited and retained experienced people from major pharmaceutical companies and leading CROs, and has achieved one of the lowest turnover rates in the region. The addition of LatinTrials to the RPS Global Alliance brings a depth of operational experience in Latin America that is a tremendous complement to the full- service, integrated solutions of the RPS PRO model in North America," added Dan Perlman, CEO, RPS, Inc.
RPS (ReSearch Pharmaceutical Services, Inc.), a privately held, employee- owned company, is the first Pharmaceutical Resource Organization (PRO) in the Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology industry.
